Since this famous novel became a film that was one of Nicholas Sparks' most successful films, it is clear that I will analyze this book in comparison to many of his other famous novels such as The Walk To Remember, Dear John, The Longest Rides, etc . This disease he has is Alzheimer's dementia, it is a disease that causes you to forget everything you remembered before at once. At the beginning of the story Noah grew up in the nursing home where he lives. He does the same thing every morning, takes his medicine and books. He then proceeds along the corridors of the nursing home hearing the nurses muttering to each other under their breath whether today will be a good day or a bad day. When he arrives in Allie's room, he sits in the chair waiting for her to finish getting ready so he can start reading the book for the hundredth time. When everyone left the room it was time for him to start reading her notebook, but the hard thing is, will she remember? The story will go from the present to the past, so throughout the reading we will face many flashbacks of their being together during the summer. Since this film became one of Nicholas Sparks' most successful films, there were many questions as to why this film was the best among all the others. With this film released in 2004, people today will still consider it one of their all-time favorites. If you are not a fan of love or sadness, then I suggest you don't watch this movie.
