The increase in student population over the years has made the job of the administrative officer in charge of processing student results a very strenuous exercise to deal with (Atebong et al., 2010). In Sule Lamido K/Hausa University, which has a good number of student turnouts and yet admits more on an annual basis, processing student academic results represents a very significant challenge as it tends to require a large amount of involvement human, thus increasing the costs and delays associated with it. An advanced computer program for calculating results integrated with a database for storing processed results simplifies the faculty evaluation system and overcomes the shortcomings of existing packages. The system takes into account interdepartmental collaboration and alliances, on a network that accelerates the collection of results processed by designated departments through an improved centralized database system (Obiniyi&Ezugwu, 2010).1.2 Historical context of the case studyFaculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Sule Lamido K/Hausa University is one of the largest Faculties of the University having been approved by the Senate and Council in 2013. Subsequently, it took fully underway in the 2014/2015 Academic Session. Previously, Computer Science majors were part of the Mathematics Department. 1.3 Problem Statement Processing of student results and generation of transcripts are done manually in physics and industrial physics long before now. The manual method of processing the results and generating the transcript of my survey has many issues including:-Delay: This occurs due to the tediousness of manually processing the results and generating the transcript. Sometimes this becomes so bad that some students try to escape through bribery. Missing Results: This happens as a result of transporting files from one place to another. Some resultsmay be lost in this process.Duplication of results:Due to operator fatigue, a result may be duplicated as it does not have the strength to track student data such as registration number.1.4 Scope of the studyThe scope of this study is an integrated study on the use of a computer-based performance monitoring system (CBRCS) a case of the Faculty of Computer Science.1.5 Aims and ObjectivesThe sole purpose of this research work is to devise an effective way to evaluate results academics, grades processing thus reducing the workload of level coordinators. Since this study is specifically to use the physical view to make efficient use of storage and processing resources, the objective of this study includes the following; Examine the existing method of monitoring and verifying student results. Design/develop a system that facilitates querying student academic records. Implement the proposed design system to control student achievement. 1.6 Significance of the Study The significance of this study is to closely examine the benefit of this result checking system for the benefit of Faculty of Computer Science Sule Lamido University, K/Hausa. It will serve as reference material for those who will use this project material. It is a contribution to knowledge.
